What is Jim’s style of management? How does it work?

My style of management isn’t your stereotypical style of management.  I don’t force people to do things. I don’t force people to not do things.  I stand more on the advisory side.  I answer questions about direction and how the industry works.  The entertainment industry as a whole is a harsh brutal world.  This includes the modeling, the acting, and the music side.  I am not as in tune with the music side of the industry but for the modeling and acting I have my thumb on the pulse of the business.  To be someone in this business you have to be able to endure the bluntness and the ugly side of people and corporations.  What it takes the most of; is self acceptance/assurance and continually investing in yourself.  The hardest part to understand is if you are new to the industry you are not going to be a star overnight!  It takes variety and constant bombardment of this industry.  You have to knock on the door, If it closes, knock harder, if again it closes, Kick it!!  And after you have done everything you can to get in and the door keeps slamming, Well…. Get a f-ing Axe and destroy the door. Now you’re in……. (Now don’t actually take an axe to someone’s door. You may end up in prison or the looney farm) But metaphorically speaking, never give up!!!

 
                As for what I do……
I will advise with educated backgrounds.  I will search for jobs and opportunities.  I will research scenarios and put together a plan that sticks within you goals and boundaries.  I will be the front man knocking on the door. I’ll be the guy back stage ensuring the deal is sealed and followed through.  I’m the follow up guy making sure all continues well.  I am the face of your work.  I can be the good or bad guy and can take the hits directed at my talent.  With these hits we can learn and move forward.  I am also a shepherd making sure the wolves don’t attack.  I am the shoulder when things are not going just right.  I am a leader and a follower.  I am there for you.

                What do I require?...
For all this dedication I require a couple things.  Dedication, Loyalty, Honesty, and Communication. The harder I work for you the more you will earn in this industry.  To me it is not all about money.  I will make my money as you make yours.  I don’t like to be put in a position to take from anyone.  Fees I earn from you usually are gratefully given for effort.  Not everything is about the dollar.  I honestly enjoy seeing people reach and exceed their goals.  A smile and a hug or handshake is worth a ton of gold to me.  Because I manage the talent doesn’t mean I own the talent.  Everyone is free to do as they feel with or without my advice or approval.  Certain contracts with clients will be strict to ensure everyone stays honest and loyal and others may be very lenient.   If you get to know me you will come to know I am dedicated to you and your goals.  Trust and communications bring great thing to light.
